Impressions
A public journal seems to defy the intent behind a journal.
Although, I admit it should serve the same purpose overall. I see no reason to keep both journals, as it would merely be redundant. The computer should be more than adequate, and will prevent Taki's impulse of rifling through my desk. Still, I don't foresee that I'd have any inclination to reread entries on a computer screen. The notion of doing that much reading electronically is hardly appealing.
It simply doesn't feel the same. Typing on a computer lacks the same grace that writing had. It is satisfying to watch dark ink spread across the pale paper, which reminds me that I'll have to find another use for my calligraphy set. This is proving to be an adjustment, and not one that seems particular palatable.
My team members seem more than willing to air their lives in a public forum. Atobe even has the unwelcome assistance with Shishido in that respect. The former is back from vacation and seems to have come across an epiphany. It comes as a surprise, since I'm unclear when exactly his mind would have shifted from self indulgence. Even so, he should know my door is always open.
Hmm.... private settings could prove more useful than a lock and key.
